Not the same design

I thought it was me but with the new design of these filters they no longer fit in my GE canister. They get all twisted and the canister doesn't get a good seal and they leak! I purchased 5, 2 packs that are useless to me. I really liked them before but without the top and bottom extra rings they don't fit properly. I now have 3 unopened packs that I am stuck with...what a waste. Yesterday I went through 2 filters, trying to get it to sit properly. The first one got all twisted up within an hour. I change my filters every 2 months like clockwork, so it's not as if they are packed with dirt. I bought these online once the pandemic started. I didn't want to go out to any stores. I thought it was wise to have some back up filters, which would have been fine if they worked properly.
